| 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful:  First run & all is good, This review is from: Camelbak FlashFlo LR 50 oz Hydration Pack (Sports) Initially I thought this product was not going to work as had tried it on over the hips, but once the bladder is full it was clear this was not going to work. It has to be positioned on the waist & pulled in tight. I tried it on a half training run today, & after stopping after 4-5 miles to make adjustments on the tube direction, I got on this belt really well. No chaffing or blisters. The belt does come a little slack sometimes & so could do with the velcro tapes like others do. A few adaptations shoudk sort this. However, the capacity & ease of use was good. As I'm only 5'2" it worked really well but anybody a good few inches taller would be better suited to the backpack type of Camelbak. Prior to purchasing the Camelbak FlashFlo waist pack, I'd had very positive experiences with the excellent Camelback backpacks, which proved to be well engineered and well made. On short hikes with the Camelbak Flashflo waistpack, a couple of problems stood out. I am 6'2" tall and as noted by another tall reviewer, the hydration tube is not long enough and a tall user must stop and bend awkwardly to reach the tube, defeating the purpose of the convenience of a hydration pack. I solved this problem by cannibalizing another Camelbak reservoir from a backpack, taking the longer tube, and attaching it to the Flashflo reservoir. But this problem would have been easy for Camelbak to solve by simply providing a longer tube. Those who found it too long could easily have shortened it, but a taller user cannot lengthen the... We purchased three of these for our motorcycle trip. They fit on the handle bars nicely (wearing around the waist kind of ruins the "cool" factor). No one got dehydrated! I took the bladder out of the case and it now sits in my top desk drawer at work so I get my daily water intake easier! THANKS CAMELBAK & AMAZON!!!! |
