3.0 out of 5 stars 5-Star Functionality! But with Color Distortion., March 5, 2011
I bought the black/graphite one and I can say that the "graphite" color is not as pictured, it's more of a green grey, very ugly in my opinion; and since style was a large reason I purchased this product, I am taking 2 stars off for it.

However, functionality-wise this is an amazing product! Here are pros/cons:

Pros:

Serves as a hydration packs correctly, like most other hydration packs.
Holds A LOT of extra tools/equipment for it's size:
-The outer zippered pocket on the back can hold another two 20oz water bottles plus a bit of miscellaneous equipment
-The mixed media open pocket on the back attached to the zippered pocket can hold another single 20oz water bottle along with a little more miscellaneous equipment
-The mesh that can be pulled out from a zipper on the bottom can hold a helmet, but I use it to hold a towel and/or a spare shirt
Very lightweight and small! Almost unnoticeable when wearing... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars The water poach is really not removable, October 18, 2008

The water poach is really not removable. I was looking for a day hydration pack that is also removable so that I could put it in my over night pack. Well the listing stated hat it is removable, but not really. You have to almost destroy it to get the hydration pack out, so it can not really be used for anything other than a day pack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Portable hydration pack works great for me!, September 17, 2010
By

I see other reviewers are having problems with their Soaker 70s, but not me. I use mine for biking to/around/from work (5-10 casual miles per day) and sometimes for longer days on the trail (~20-30 miles.) I received it as a gift when I went out to BurningMan a few years ago, and it was a lifesaver in the desert heat.

It's small enough to be lightweight and comfortable, yet still has enough space to secure valuables. I haven't used the hidden mesh pocket yet, but it's nice to have just in case. The water tube can be routed over the left or right shoulder, and I use the loops on the other side to route MP3 headphones. Then secure the MP3 player onto the clip on the back, set it to shuffle, and hit the road ... everything I need is on or in the pack.

It has always held up great for me, and cleans up easily. (If it can survive BurningMan and still looks like new, that's impressive!)

It leaked on me once, after cleaning it, because I didn't screw the... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid pack, June 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Overall, really good pack. It holds plenty of water and has lots of storage space for holding anything else you may need. Lots of padding too, which makes for a comfy fit.

I wouldn't recommend it for use as a running pack but great for cycling and hiking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cycling/Hiking essential!, June 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I purchased this item because I cycle a lot, and was getting sick of bending over to pick up my water bottle from its cage. Not only is it faster to drink from the Camelbak, but also much safer. When you drink from it, you get little amounts of water, which I prefer, as you only want to stay hydrated, not bloated with water while riding or hiking. After using this hydration pack primarily for drinking water while riding, I realized the pack's versatility.

There is plenty of room to store your tools, pumps, extra tubes, patch kits, lock, and etc. You can also store snacks inside to eat during a hike or ride.

The pack itself looks amazing! It matches the colors of my bike 8-). I have gotten a couple compliments for it too. The excess straps roll up and get Velcro-ed on to the straps which makes the pack look clean.

Filling water is a breeze. You can detach the pouch and fill it up without having the entire pack hanging while you try to... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars New lid style is great., June 7, 2011
By
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Great product. Typical Camelback quality. The new 1/4 turn lid is the real reason I purchased this. It opens and closes easily. The old style lids were real painful on the fingers when trying to get them open. This one has good insulation and protection from puncture with its outside material. You just slip it into your pack and your good to go.

This review is from: Camelbak UnBottle 100 oz Hydration Pack (Sports)
The new quarter turn lid is amazing! If you have ever struggled to open a camelbak lid you will definitely appreciate this! Further, Camelbak has added easy zipper access to the hose connection and zipper access to get the bladder out. The last sip of water was still cool after 6 hours of desert racing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, September 24, 2011

I'm a long time camelbak user, bicycling many thousands of miles. Eventually, all of my old bags began to leak but considering the extensive use, I have no complaints. I have one 70 oz. and two 100 oz. versions of the newest design and I'm impressed. The quarter turn cap is larger than previous versions, making it easier to put in the ice and to clean, and it is easy to close and seals tight. I repeat, it seals tight with no difficulty. I have had no leakage in any of my new bags.

I take many training rides for Century rides. These training rides are unsupported. I have long wanted a better way to carry extra hydration to avoid the expense of buying hydration on the road. This is it. It EASILY attaches to my Camelbak 100 oz. raising the capacity to 200 oz. Thanks, Camelbak.
